DID YOU KNOW?

  • Le tombeau de Couperin was originally written for piano, with each movement dedicated to one of Ravel’s friends who had fallen in World War I.

  • Joaquín Rodrigo almost completely lost his sight at the age of three after contracting diphtheria.

  • Symphony No. 40 in G minor, sometimes referred to as the “Great G minor symphony,” is one of the only two minor key symphonies Mozart wrote. (The other is Symphony No. 25, the “Little G minor symphony.”)
